The action included a parallel event called “Baile Dus Bailes,” which used a similar name to the Steve B. Festival and posted content on social media that could mislead the public. The decision stipulated the removal of all posts and mentions with the violating name within five days, under penalty of a daily fine.
According to this process, the festival created by Stevie B has been operating in the country for more than six years, using the trademark since 2018, while it awaits the official registration with the National Institute of Intellectual Property for the “O Baile dos Sonhos Music Festival”. The court recognized that reproducing the competing name posed a risk to the singer’s image, reputation and business strategy.

The lawyer spoke
