Madrid, November 30 (European Press) –

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry on Sunday denounced the Ukraine-related attack against the infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (KTK), a Kazakh company that exports oil through the Caspian Sea, which was forced to halt its activity.

The Kazakh Ministry said in a message on its account on the social media network

Several drone ships attacked the consortium’s shipping terminal on Saturday, suspending operations and denying entry to cargo ships. There were no casualties and no oil leaks in the attack.

“The Caspian Pipeline Consortium brings together the largest energy companies from Russia, the United States, Kazakhstan and several Western European countries. We consider that the attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium also threatens the interests of its member states,” the company said in a statement.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry confirmed that the incident “harms” relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan and asked the government led by Volodymyr Zelensky to take “concrete” measures so that attacks of this kind do not occur again.

Like the oil entity, the Kazakh government highlighted that this was the third “act of aggression against civilian assets protected by international law” against its infrastructure.

Likewise, he stressed that the consortium is “essential” to maintaining “the stability of the global energy system.”
