The Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff, Oleksandr Sirsky, reported on Tuesday (11/11/2025) that Russian forces had captured three towns in the Zaporizhzhya region, as Kiev had previously acknowledged the day before that an advance by Russian forces had forced a Ukrainian withdrawal in five towns.
“The situation deteriorated significantly in the Oleksandrivka and Hulyapol directions, as the enemy advanced, taking advantage of its numerical superiority in forces and means, during fierce fighting and seized three towns,” Sersky wrote on his Facebook account.
The Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff did not specify the name of the three towns that came under Russian control.
Exhausting battles
The Ukrainian military official added, “Soldiers of the Southern Group of Forces are fighting fierce battles in Revnobilia and Yablokov. Corresponding support measures are being applied,” noting that “with joint fire, significant losses were inflicted on the aggressor.”
“Every meter of our territory costs Russia hundreds of military lives,” Sersky said, in a message that came after Ukraine previously announced in a military statement the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the towns of Novospenivsky, Novi, Okotnichy, Uspenivka and Novomikolaivka.
