Rio de Janeiro – During the promotional event for the series Tudo é Justo, at the Copacabana Palace, in Rio de Janeiro, Kim Kardashian and Niecy Nash talked about how playing their characters affects the way they treat each other and the advice they would give themselves to avoid falling into love traps. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also revealed the great inspiration behind her character in the story.
Niecy Nash, who plays Emerald Greene in the Disney+ and Hulu series, connected her personal experience to her professional experience. “Emerald has three children, and NeNe has three children. I love playing a mother on TV, especially a single mother, because I want these women to see themselves.” Speaking about relationships, she added: “Falling for me means instability. I want to stand tall in love, I want to be steadfast in it. So choose wisely.”
Kim Kardashian, who plays Alura Grant, followed the line of thinking quoting American lawyer Laura Wasser. “My previous life experiences helped me prepare for this role. One of the people we took a lot of inspiration from is Laura Wasser. She’s a very powerful lawyer in Los Angeles, so we modeled my character after her.”
Regarding the advice they would give themselves to avoid falling into the love trap, they were both emphatic, but in different ways. Kim joked, “You’re going to fall. And this is going to fall. Just fall. Have fun. Do what you want. You’ve got to live and follow your heart and see where it takes you. And if it’s not where it’s supposed to end up forever, you’ll figure it out. You’ll find your way, and you’ll have your friends and sisters and lawyers to help you get through it.”
Nessie, in turn, stressed the need for balance and wisdom in relationships: “Choose wisely. Stand tall in the relationship and be firm in it.”
With three episodes available at launch, Tudo é Justo premiered on Disney+ last Tuesday (11/4). The following chapters will be released weekly, every Tuesday, at 2 AM (Brasilia time).
