The Mayor of La Plata, Julio Alac, led the delivery of school furniture for Technical School No. 9, Technical School No. 6 “Albert Thomas” and Private School No. 532 “Alfonsina Storni”, within the framework of the provincial plan to provide school equipment promoted by the Provincial General Directorate of Culture and Education (DGCyE).
“This equipment is part of the efforts we are making with the province to improve schools and provide better educational conditions for all boys and girls,” said Alack, who was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Paola Lambertini, and the Undersecretary for the Region, Yamila Olariaga.
In total, the initiative enabled the institutions to be provided with new students and chairs that would improve the academic conditions for approximately 2,600 students in the technical and special education stages.
The equipment is part of the production being carried out at the Regional School Furniture Factory at 520th and 29th Streets, a plant that was restored and restarted in 2020 and today employs 150 workers.
Through these deliveries, the municipality and the province continue to strengthen the La Plata educational network and renovate the furniture in institutions that play a key role in technical and vocational training and in the integration of students.
