Abascal is behind the election of Peramatu as Inspector General: “We must be fully prepared.”
The leader of the Vox party, Santiago Abascal, refuses to give a margin of confidence to the country’s new financial general, Teresa Peramato, not so much because of her profile as because of the belief that her appointment is compatible with the government. In an interview with the program General mirror From Antena 3, Santiago Abascal evaded the assessment of the career path of Alvaro García Ortiz’s successor, claiming that the head of government “who works for justice and who hurts the Spanish people with the possibility of expressing himself at the ballot boxes, will not make any decision, including this appointment, to put yourself at risk. Frankly, I think we have to be very careful.”
Abascal criticized that the head of the People’s Party, Alberto Nunez Viejo, demanded the election of a new Malian government and the approval of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and noted that its composition had been agreed upon between the Popularists and the Socialists. The leader of the Vox party confirmed that his party will wait to hear the speech of the popular candidate for president of the Valencian Community, Juanfran Pérez Jurca, before deciding his vote. He said: “We will listen attentively. If in this inauguration speech, with our voice and in front of all the Spanish people, we obtain the commitments that we desire and those that we have spoken about these days, then we can support this inauguration.” For Abascal, a written agreement like the one reached with the PP at other times is not useful because “suelen quedarse en papel mojado. We prefer that commitments be obtained in light and shorthand through their mouths in front of the whole world. This will determine the meaning of our vote,” he insisted.
