After a request from the Full Sports Court (STJD) to review the trial of Flamengo striker Bruno Henrique, on Monday (10/11), and to postpone the analysis of the case, Palmeiras president, Leila Pereira, spoke about the matter.
The leader criticized the decision of the Court of Justice and Equality and compared the court’s behavior in the Flamingo striker’s case to that of Alan. Also on Monday (10/11), the Alverde player’s appeal was rejected and he will be ruled out of the team’s next match.
Check out Leila Pereira’s full statement:
He added: “Palmeras has always respected institutions and will continue to respect them, but he expects the same respect in return. What is happening is not fair.”
The player is found guilty of a serious offense and plays normally for two months, including scoring goals and deciding matches. Then, when the new trial is finally scheduled, a vote is taken to acquit that athlete and the hearing is postponed. Meanwhile, Allan, who was a first-time offender, received a two-match one-match ban and the court then ratified the punishment in just over 15 days. And all this is happening in a crucial week, where we will already have several absences due to FIFA data. We do not want to benefit, but we do not accept to be harmed
Palmeiras hopes that the Justice and Development Association will adopt a balanced position, so that its decisions do not affect the conduct of one of the most controversial tournaments in recent years. Let the champion be decided on the field.”
