Lineker’s art is intrinsically political, not because of his direct published speeches, but because of his assertion of existence in a transphobic and racist country. When asked if she ever considered writing songs of a political nature, she answered emphatically: “I’m a black transvestite and I sing about wanting to be loved. I don’t see how it could be more political than that.”
Art music contributes to discussions about queer identity. The album “Caju” and previous works, such as “Indigo Borboleta Anil,” serve as an instrument of resistance against dehumanized reality.

In the single “Baby95” (from the album “Índigo Borboleta Anil”), Lineker tells a story of transgressive love, celebrating an affection free of heteronormative norms.
The “Baby95” music video shows Lineker and a cis man embracing, an image that has historically been denied to Black and trans bodies, which are often marginalized and hypersexualized.
Lineker seeks to give new meaning to socially stigmatized experiences, turning them into pride and celebration. The artist asserts herself by singing the desire to “rebuild safe relationships” and humanize them beyond her public identity.
By transforming pain into groove and fear into desire, Lineker uses art to point to a future in which queer love is visible and free of fear. On December 14, the rebellious energy of affection concludes the Estilo Brasil Festival.
