“Guys, here I am separating the bands, and I was shocked. Next: I was counting, I have over 60 bands,” she said. According to Maya, most of the pieces were created by lace stylist Carlos Cerqueira, known artistically as Carlos Laes, one of the main professionals in the sector in Brazil and the presenter’s long-time partner.

Carlos is responsible for many of Maya’s iconic looks, and together they have developed exclusive models that have become part of the fashion product’s identity. “Carlos gave me a discount there (most of my bands are from Carlos), and he gave me a discount on several of them. We played on some of them, and I paid for others…,” he explained.

Maya estimated how much she would pay if she bought all the pieces at the advertised price. “So let’s say I paid, I don’t know, each one of them costs R$20,000, there are some that cost more and some that cost less. Carlos has a lace that costs R$100,000. Here there is more than R$1 million worth of lace. If I had paid, right? I didn’t pay in cash, which makes it very clear,” he added.
