Fábia Oliveira’s column finds out that MC Ryan SP is involved in a new controversy. The funk singer has been sued and accused of not performing in Macae, Rio de Janeiro, scheduled for June.
What happened?
Ryan SP was brought to court by Ivan Lopez Portugal Jr. in October this year. The businessman says he signed a contract with GR6 Eventos, also a defendant in the lawsuit, for the show. The musician’s fee was set at R$70,000, plus about R$72,000 just for the organization and infrastructure of the event.

The businessman claims that a few hours before the event, the presenter claimed that he had health problems and did not attend the show. Evan says he accepted an offer from Ryan to reschedule the show.

In the process, the contractor accuses the artist of not showing up at the new date, and of informing the production of “very short notice.” According to the author, this behavior led to new financial losses, exacerbated public frustration and damaged his reputation as an event promoter.
Ivan Lopez warrants in the lawsuit that MC Ryan SP and GR6 Eventos did not reimburse expenses for shows that were not performed and did not even return the fees paid.
Requests for justice
The businessman asks the court to issue an injunction to preventively seize the amount of R$141,930 from the defendants’ accounts. This measure will be necessary to ensure compensation for the proven damages.
In addition to claiming amounts related to the event’s fees and expenses, Ivan Lopez is asking the program presenter and the company to compensate him for moral damages. The total value of the case exceeded 260 thousand Brazilian reals.
