Miguel García Aruba Molero, former teacher, former mayor of Coral de Almaguer, former president of the Aljodor River Water Association and former regional representative, has died at the age of 75. He started his political career as an advisor to the then PCE. He later joined the Socialist Workers’ Party, a party in which he served as mayor of Coral de Almaguer during the legislatures between 1987 and 1995.. His time at the helm of the city council was a prominent part of municipal life in those years.
Before devoting himself to public administration, García Aruba has developed a long teaching career. He worked as a teacher at Nuestra Señora de la Muela Public School, in addition to working in other towns in La Mancha. He was known in the educational field for his closeness, courteous treatment and the unanimous respect he commanded among his colleagues and students. He was also distinguished by his love for sports, especially football.
At the educational center, he taught the subjects of plastic expression and religion in the third and fourth levels of the EGB School at that time.Sharing teaching responsibilities with other teachers. It was known in the educational environment as “pneumonia.”
Coral de Almaguer is deposited today in the municipal cemetery, a figure very connected to the social, educational and political life of the municipality.
