Residents of Gonit and Villa Castells are beginning to lose patience with the constant breakdowns in the water barrel delivery service, an essential source that has become a source of frustration and danger.
A resident of the area revealed the daily journey involved in trying to obtain at least one can of water and the difficulties faced by those who are forced to work and cannot receive it due to “non-compliance” with the delivery dates set by the company.
The situation is exacerbated when trying to compensate for the schedule. The complainant reported that he quickly returns from work to reach the delivery point, but often finds himself empty-handed. “It’s the second time,” he lamented, remembering that they didn’t have any drums yesterday either.
The neighbor described the situation as “shameful” and demanded a quick response from the company responsible. “ABSA must provide a response to the residents of Gonet and Villa Castells.”
One of the most troubling points in the claim is the condition of the main entrance to the headquarters where they go to remove water. “All the old people come here to remove the drums, and they can fall,” he explained.
Complaints extend to the handling of service during the weekend. Even though they are open on Saturdays and offer drums, the Sunday delivery is void because they are not open.” Given this lack of Sunday service, the neighbor suggested a solution: “At least they would have to offer two drums on weekends.”
