After the UN Security Council approved a resolution based on Trump’s plan regarding Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that this plan “will lead to peace,” because it establishes “complete disarmament, disarmament, and de-extremism” in the Palestinian territories.
“We believe that President Trump’s plan will lead to peace and prosperity because he insists on complete disarmament, disarmament, and de-extremism in Gaza,” the letter posted on the website said.
Hamas refused
The resolution, which was approved by a majority of 13 votes, with China and Russia abstaining from voting, raised the rejection of the Hamas movement, which considers disarmament an “internal” issue and said that the force should not be responsible for this because if it did so, it would not be neutral.
Hamas stressed that “any discussion on the issue of weapons must remain an internal national issue linked to a political path that guarantees an end to the occupation, the establishment of the state (Palestine) and self-determination.”
