Parana was hit by three hurricanes with winds reaching speeds of 330 km/h

This phenomenon was confirmed by radar analysis, flybys and ground inspections. The wind speed of the hurricane that struck Rio Bonito ranged between 300 kilometers per hour and 330 kilometers per hour. This reached category F3 on the Fujita scale, which measures the intensity of tornadoes. The hurricanes that occurred in Turvo and Guarapuava were classified as Category F2, as both had wind speeds of less than 300 km/h.
