Find out the seeded teams for the Candangão U-17 semi-finals
Capital 3×2 Canaan
On Friday night (11/14), the Coroja team enthusiastically secured their place in the finals. Cana needed to win by at least two goals to take the fight for position to penalties, and from the start, with just seven minutes to go, the home team took advantage, with goals scored by Nicolas and Julio Gomez.
The visitors continued to press, but a penalty kick almost in stoppage time of the first half changed the fate of the place, as Capital scored through Matthews Machado. In the second half, the team turned the score around, in addition to securing its place, with goals from Balotelli and Pedro Felipe.
Real Brasilia 2(1) x 0(4) Pinharol
Real Brasilia needed to overturn a two-goal deficit away from home, and they did so after a consistent game at home. The goals were scored by Joao Gabriel, after a mistake by goalkeeper Falcao and Victor Moreira.
But the goalkeeper’s compensation will come after regular time. The match went to penalty kicks, and Pinharol was perfect in executing the penalty kick. Furthermore, Falcao saved two penalty kicks and ensured the team’s qualification to the finals.
