The sequence began in mid-morning on General Paz Street, when A A Toyota Etios with four passengers ignored an arrest warrant and fled at full speed through the streets of the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires. What followed was a chase by members of the city police that ended in… Villa Selena with an exchange of gunfire, resulting in the arrest of three people and the death of one person.
Police sources confirmed to LA NACION that the incident began at 9:42 am.when members of the digital ring of the Buenos Aires Security Force discovered the car with an active hijacking request. When they did not stop, an operation was deployed that culminated in the intersection of Bustamante and Ugarte, where the armed confrontation took place.
The Emergency Medical Care Service (SAME) confirmed that one of the passengers died at the scene. The other three were arrested. La Matanza’s Career Education Unit is involved in the case.
