The investigation concluded that the group created a network of front companies and fake fuel supply points to mimic legitimate operations and hide the true destination of the fuel.

Police officers identified that the locations used as supposed stations did not have any structure compatible with the service, there were no aircraft authorized to operate at the reported addresses and the volume of fuel purchased was significantly higher than that which could be justified in any normal activity.

Based on the evidence, French police executed three search and seizure warrants in Roraima and Tocantins, as well as ordering the freezing of assets that could amount to R$20 million. Investigations are continuing to identify all those responsible for financing and maintaining the logistics chain supporting illegal mining in the Yanomami region.
