The Planalto Palace estimates that it has already obtained the necessary votes to prevent the summoning of Jorge Messias, nominated by President Lula for membership of the STF, to testify at the INSS CPMI. The committee, composed of representatives and senators, is expected to consider the contact request on Thursday (11/27).
Government members estimate that the hearing in the joint parliamentary investigative committee would create an uncomfortable political environment for Messias on the eve of the hearing in the Senate to confirm the nomination to the highest court of the country.
