The Apertura 2025 regular season of the Liga Mx has concluded, and Toluca, Tigres, Cruz Azul, América, Monterrey and Chivas – six of the eight teams qualified for the Liguilla – have secured their place in the Mexican football finals, which begin in the final days of November. Both Toluca and Tigres, who finished first and second in the table respectively, will have to wait for the Play-in matches to determine who they will face in the quarter-finals. Liguilla date and times will be determined later.
Date and time of play
There are two games played in Play-in. In Series A, the Xolos de Tijuana (7th place) will face Bravos de Juárez (8th), on Thursday, November 20, at 10:00 p.m. In central Mexico. In Series B, Tuzos de Pachuca (9th) hosts Pumas de la UNAM (10th) at Hidalgo Stadium, also on Thursday 20th, at 7:00 p.m. Central Mexico.
Whoever wins Series A will take seventh place in the Liguilla and will play against Tigres. The loser of Series A will play against the winner of Series B to determine eighth place in the Liguilla and face off against Toluca. This match has a tentative date of November 23, with no specific time.

Selected matches
The quarterfinal matches decided for the French League are Cruz Azul vs. Chivas and América vs. Monterrey. Cementero faced Rebaño Sagrado in three straight elimination series: Guadalajara won twice; Cruz Azul’s only victory over Chivas in Lijuela was in 1999. Azulcrema and Rayados, on the other hand, have faced each other seven times. This will be the second time the team has reached the quarter-finals (the previous time was in 2009, with the result favoring Monterrey).
Toluca, tournament leader
Once again, in 2025, the Red Devils finished the regular season as leaders. In April, at the end of Clausura 2025, they added 37 points (11 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses). On this occasion, six months later, the result was exactly the same. Deportivo Toluca was crowned Clausura champion after defeating Monterrey in the quarter-finals. To Tigres in the semi-finals. And America is in the final. It took 15 years for the Red Devils to lift the cup again.
