A 30-year-old Bolivian woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon (11/12) on charges of interstate drug smuggling after a Bolivian dog found 2.21kg of cocaine paste on her body on the bus.

The vehicle was stopped by the 8th Special Police Action Battalion (Baep) of the Military Police (PM) at kilometer 527 of the Raposo-Tavares Highway, in Presidente Prudente, inside São Paulo.
During the agents’ patrol, the dog, Rafina, pointed out the passenger who was traveling from Corumba (MS) to the capital, São Paulo.
She admitted to carrying six packages attached to her body and would receive R$1,000 for the transportation.

In addition to the drugs, two cell phones worth R$71.50 and R$611.60 were seized.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the case was registered at the Chief Prudente Division Police Station as drug trafficking and reason for the increase. The delegate also transferred the act to preventive detention.
