The Civil Police of São Paulo are seeking to identify the two suspects who were caught leaving the home of hairdresser José Roberto Silveira, 59, who was found dead inside his home in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood, west of São Paulo, on Saturday morning (22/11).
Pictures from surveillance cameras, he obtained Capitalsshows the duo leaving the house where José Roberto Silveira was found with his wrists and legs bound.

The equipment recorded the victim leaving the home around 1:39 a.m. while driving a recently rented car. At approximately 2:13 a.m., the victim returned home accompanied by two unidentified men in the car. At 5:53 a.m., images revealed the two suspects opening the front gate of the residence and walking down the sidewalk.

According to the civil police, the body was found by Jose Roberto’s partner and cousin. It was face up, on the floor, to the left of the bed, and near the wall. In addition to his bound wrists and legs, his mouth was gagged with a towel tied with a white string similar to the string of a cell phone charger.
The body also showed bruises in the area of the arms, shoulders and nose. On the left arm, there was also a wound consistent with a bite mark.

- José Roberto Silveira was born in Jarça, in the interior of São Paulo.
- His friends and family called him “Beto”, and he moved to the capital, São Paulo, in the 1990s.
- Since the early 2000s, the hairdresser has been running a salon in Alto de Pinheiros, on the ground floor of the house he shared with his 98-year-old mother.
- Beto had recently ended his relationship.
- He was seeing men on dates arranged through dating apps, according to a witness report.
- The house was rented, but the family kept one of the rooms advertised on a rental platform.
- Beto posted photos and videos on social media of the results of haircuts and makeup performed on clients.
- The hairdresser also posted video clips to “encourage laughter,” he said.
Police investigations
The case is being investigated as a homicide by the 14th DP of Pinheiros, which has requested support from the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
Security cameras recorded two suspects leaving the hairdresser’s home on foot in the early hours of Saturday (22/11). Police are trying to identify the men who appear in the photos.
Expert examinations were also requested. The rental company responsible for the car rented by José Roberto provided a geographical location report for the car relating to the period of the hairdresser’s departure and return home.
