The city of La Plata will witness an intense day on Saturday, November 29: the historical reference of the quartet, La Mona Jiménez, will return to the stages of its city to perform at the Estadio Único – with doors open from 6:00 p.m. This event not only generates cultural expectations, but also forces us to rethink vehicular traffic in its surrounding areas.
To ensure safety, traffic fluidity and comfort for those attending, the municipality will implement a traffic operation anticipating closures and diversions on multiple roads and streets in the area. Among the reported changes, there is a special detour of public transport branch 46 – which, instead of its usual route to the cemetery, will be rerouted along 32 → 19 → 35 → Diagonal 73 → Boulevard 82 → the usual route.
Major intersections that could be affected include token routes such as 25 and 32, 25 with 526 and 532 – these with outages in the early hours of the day – and then a combination of partial or total outages, depending on the progress of traffic: 520 and 19; 19 and 32; 33 with 24/25; 27 with 32 among others.
The authorities ask those not participating in the parade to avoid driving around the perimeter near the stadium and inform them that a special road monitoring and security scheme will be deployed. In this way, the goal is to ensure that the ceremony proceeds normally, respecting order, without any inconveniences or traffic risks for those attending.
