In the competition, the group that offers the greatest discount on considerations, i.e. payments from the public body to the operator, wins. The maximum value specified in the notification is R$ 2,183.21 per match.
If the proposal exceeds a 10% discount, the company will also need to pay a contribution of resources, which will be linked to the project. In addition, the state must pay a public contribution of R$1.2 billion.
The project expects to purchase 45 new vessels to operate on the roads, some of which are electric. On the ground, there will also be a need to establish and upgrade stations, as well as operating, control and billing systems.
In total, the roads included in the PPP are: São Sebastiao/Ilhabela; Santos/Vicente de Carvalho; Santos/Guaruja; Bertioga/Guaruja; Canania/Ilha Comprida; Canaaniya/Qara; Kenan/Arere; Iguapi/Guria; three roads in Paraibona (Puerto Paraitenga, Paraibona/Natividad, and Natividad/Centro); and three other routes in the São Paulo metropolitan area (Poruri-Garajão, Taquisitoba-Poruri, and João Basso-Riacho Grande).
