The game will come with graphics and performance improvements on consoles compared to the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions

Rockstar Games has just announced that Red Dead Redemption will be released on December 2nd on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Xbox Series, Android, and iOS.
The announcement was made hours after the game was evaluated for the ESRB on the new consoles and went live on its pages on the App Store and Google Play.
Players who already have the game on PlayStation 4, Switch, or the backward compatible digital version on Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the new versions for free. Furthermore, the PlayStation 5 version will be available in the PlayStation Plus catalog on the same day of launch.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, Rockstar promises a 60fps experience, improved image quality, HDR support, and up to 4K resolution. On Switch 2, the game will support DLSS, HDR, gameplay with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, 60 frames per second, and high resolution.
It has also been reported that PS4 and Switch game save data can be used in the PS5 and Switch 2 versions.
Speaking of the mobile versions, they will have smartphone and tablet-friendly gameplay, and Netflix subscribers can download and play them at no additional cost.
