Writer and sociologist Reginaldo Brandi received guests on the occasion of the launch of his book “Orixás – Os Deuses que Dwell em Nós” on Wednesday (12), at Livraria Travessa in the Pinheiros neighborhood, in São Paulo.
Vice Rector of USP (University of São Paulo), Maria Armenda, attended the launch. Business editor Stephanie Rock and theater director Ricardo Gamba were also in attendance.
In the work published by Compania das Letras, Brandi revisits the Yoruba origin myths of the Eighteen Orixa, exploring the strengths, dilemmas, and symbolic connections of these deities with human subjectivity.
