During the press conference, Rogerio Ceni, coach of the Ecuadrão team, admitted that his team wasted many clear opportunities during the 90 minutes:
“Particularly today, to win, you have to have chances. And I’m telling you: they had 10 chances between the shots and the last pass, they just made a normal pass, which is what they do every day. It’s difficult for a coach to explain when you have 10 chances to score, when you have three chances to score in the same play and they don’t score. Then it’s difficult to explain.”“, said the coach.
Furthermore, Rogerio Ceni also admitted that the team was not playing well, but “at the limit”, due to the large number of matches in the season:
“Of course we can be better in the table, of course we can, we can even be in first place. But I think we have reached our limit in every match.”The technician reported.
After confirming his participation in the next Libertadores tournament, Bahia returns to the field at 8 pm (Brasilia time), next Wednesday (03), against Sport, at Arena Fonte Nova, in the 37th and penultimate round of the Brazilian League, in search of a direct place in the group stage of the international competition.
