Four people were killed and ten others were injured in a shooting during a family gathering in a banquet hall in Stockton, California. This information was confirmed on Saturday the 29th by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
Department spokeswoman Heather Brent said the victims included children and adults. According to her, the first signs “suggest that the case may have been a targeted incident,” she said in an interview with the local press.
The shooting occurred inside the celebration hall, which shares a parking lot with other establishments. Investigators are still working to determine a possible motive.
The authorities did not immediately provide additional information about the condition of the victims. Earlier, they reported that many of them were taken to hospitals.
