The new features are part of Update 1.10, which is now available in the game
Konami and developer NeoBards Entertainment have announced the arrival of update 1.10 for Silent Hill f, which adds a “casual” difficulty mode to combat and an optional feature that allows you to skip some parts of New Game+.
As reported, the casual level can be selected when starting a new game, but also when starting the New Game+ mode, which will definitely help players unlock the game’s five endings more quickly. For those who are already playing, simply die a few times until the game offers the option to change the difficulty to Normal.
If you have the option to skip a portion of New Game+, it includes something that does not affect the game’s story. When completing the “Go Through the Door” objective after solving the wall puzzle in New Game+, players now have the option to go to the section where Hinako awakens in the Dark Sanctuary entrance for the second time.
According to Konami, this will not affect alternate paths or obtaining any of the game’s endings, but it will prevent obtaining the three achievements/trophies for finishing the game on History, Hard, or Lost in the Mist difficulties, as part of the game will be skipped.
The update also includes faster recovery of Hinako’s stamina, fewer mandatory battles, less damage dealt by Hinako on Hard, and several bug fixes.
Silent Hill f is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
