SP dawned with warning of storm danger on Monday (24)

São Paulo dawned with overcast skies, rain forecasts and an orange storm warning on Monday morning (11/24). According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), there is a chance of rain between 30 and 60 mm/h or 50 and 100 mm/day, strong winds of 60 to 100 km/h, and hail.

Rainfall leads to the risk of power outages, crop damage, tree falls, and floods.

Moderate to heavy rain is expected in both the capital, Sao Paulo, and greater Sao Paulo, according to the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE). Temperatures this Monday range between 17 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius.

The areas affected by the orange alert issued by Inmet are São José do Río Preto, Campinas, Báuro, Piracicaba, Itapetininga, Ribeirão Preto, Arasatuba, the greater metropolitan area of ​​São Paulo, Prudente Prudente, Marilia, Araraquara, Vale do Paraíba, the metropolitan area of ​​São Paulo, Assis and the South Coast.

Skies on Tuesday (11/25) will be overcast and cloudy in eastern São Paulo, with scattered rain possible.
