SP extends deadline to re-register servers after complaints

The Government of São Paulo has extended the deadline for state employees to complete mandatory re-registration through the sou.sp.gov.br application until December 31. The initial deadline to take the live test via the platform was Sunday (11/30).

The process has been subject to numerous complaints from servers, who have reported difficulties in completing re-registrations through the app. This procedure is mandatory for all civilian and military employees working in government departments, agencies and institutions in São Paulo.

The São Paulo government knows that proof of life is mandatory for all employees and that failure to re-register will result in salary suspension. The administration indicates that the December payment and the 13th salary will not be affected.

In an educational video published by the Secretariat of Administration and Digital Government, there are several complaints from people who say they are unable to complete the procedure.

“Most servers can’t finish. It gives an unexpected error and that’s it,” one user said. “I’ve been trying to re-register for 10 days. It can’t be done via the app nor on the web. I’ve already registered two complaints with the ombudsman. It’s simply not working,” another server reported.
