The passage of the storm has already caused more than 500 accidents, most of them in the province of Huelva, under the orange warning, such as Cádiz and Seville. The municipality of Minas de Riotinto also directed, via social networks, its request to all residents to take strict precautions and avoid unnecessary trips after the heavy rain that hit the city on Saturday afternoon.
The rain recorded by this municipality during the last hours caused flooding in various streets and low-lying areas, as well as the accumulation of water on public roads and difficulties in traffic. Since early afternoon, emergency and civil protection personnel have been working to restore normal life, address incidents and ensure the safety of residents.
On the other hand, the San Bartolomé de la Torre City Council also reported on its social networks that due to the recorded heavy rains, some sections of the Camino de las Bodegas were flooded. In addition, the San Bartolomé-Casteljos highway has been closed by the Civil Guard, and the road to Alusno has pools of water at several points. For this reason, the city council asked citizens to take maximum precautions, avoid unnecessary trips and trade with the utmost caution.
As for the municipality of Cartaya, the town’s mayor, Manuel Barroso, reported that several roads were closed due to the passage of this weather phenomenon, in addition to calling on residents to exercise caution and caution.
