
Nearly 2 tons of marijuana were seized inside a load of pasta on Thursday night (11/13) in the city of Gales, in the São José do Rio Preto region, within São Paulo.
The driver was caught red-handed during a joint operation carried out by the Military Highway Police and the Federal Highway Police.
The seizure occurred during a traffic inspection conducted by Operation Operação Divisa Integrada, in Rodovia Euclid da Cunha.

The teams approached a box truck and during the inspection found 95 bales of drugs, totaling 1.9 tons, hidden among the load, mixed with pasta packages.
According to the information, the man was going to receive the shipment in Nova Alvorada do Sul (MS) and take the shipment to Belo Horizonte (MG), where he would receive it for transportation. He has a criminal record for domestic violence.
The car and drugs were confiscated, and the suspect was transferred to the Federal Police in Galis, where he remained at the disposal of justice.
