The death toll in the fire that burned down the Wang Fook Court skyscraper residential complex this week, in the Tai Po district, in Hong Kong, has risen to 128, the city’s security minister, Chris Tang, said on Friday (28/11/2025).
Tang added in a press conference that he sent his condolences to those affected, and that about 200 people were still missing.
Rescue and security services added to the press that the fire, the worst recorded in decades in this huge, semi-autonomous Chinese city, caused 79 people to be injured. They added that of the 128 people who died, 89 have not yet been identified.
