As their relationship became tense, Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and Nicolas Ferreira (PL-MG) almost met in El Salvador, where they traveled in recent days to discuss security policies.
Nicholas was in San Salvador, the country’s capital, between November 11 and 15. The MP headed to the place to participate in a symposium on public security, in addition to visiting the country’s prisons.

Eduardo arrived in El Salvador two days later, on Monday (11/17). In the country, he and his brother Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) will have an agenda with the local Minister of Justice, Hector Gustavo Villatoro Funes.
Flavio traveled to the country on official business as Chairman of the Senate Public Security Committee. He requested the trip under the pretext of discussing measures to combat crime.
A shaky relationship
Eduardo and Nicolas have a “shaky” relationship, especially after the Bolsonaro clan’s decision to launch Rio Council member Carlos Bolsonaro (PL) as a Senate candidate for Santa Catarina in 2026.
Nicolas is close to state MP Anna Campagnolo, who is openly critical of the clan’s decision to force Carlos’ candidacy, sidelining federal MP Caroline Di Toni (PL-SC) in the dispute.
In recent days, Eduardo has shared posts criticizing Nicolas. He also publicly attacked Campagnolo, saying the lawmaker must “follow” Bolsonaro’s decision or leave Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Nicolas told his interviewers that he had not met Eduardo in El Salvador because his trip was scheduled for more than a month, and there was no way he could stay longer in the Central American country.
