Marcos Leonardo was decisive again for Al Hilal. The striker scored two goals in the victory over Al-Shorta, in the AFC Champions League, and reached an important milestone: he reached 101 goals as a professional player, and consolidated his position among the most lethal young strikers in the world.

The striker outperforms Cristiano Ronaldo and Kane

At the age of 22 years and seven months, the former Santos joined a limited list of athletes who crossed the 100-goal mark before the age of 23, such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, Haaland and Mbappe.

The brand gains further weight by pitting the Brazilian against Cristiano Ronaldo – who reached his 100th goal at just 22 years and 11 months – and Harry Kane, who reached the milestone at 23 years and 10 months.

Professional goals

The striker reached 101 goals during his spells at three clubs:

  • Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia): 39 goals
  • Benfica (Portugal): 8 goals
  • Santos: 54 goals

Before establishing himself in Santos’ professional squad, Marcos Leonardo had already amassed impressive numbers in the youth categories, where he emerged as one of the main goalscorers of this generation.
