The Ministry of Labor condemns that the free tool launched to prevent occupational risks for domestic workers, Prevention 10, is being subjected to a “malicious attack”, Yolanda Díaz’s administration responded to elDiario.es. The commitment to assess and prevent occupational risks for these workers begins tomorrow, November 14.
The Prevention 10 Program was launched last May by the Department of Labor to facilitate families’ commitment to assessing and preventing these occupational hazards for domestic workers, something that did not exist until now.
The tool witnessed malfunctions in the past hours, without the possibility of accessing the site, which the Ministry of Labor initially attributed to “high demand” for the service.
So far, the page has indicated: “Due to high demand on Prevencion10.es, we are having problems accessing the page. Please try connecting later.”
“bot attack”
However, sources from Yolanda Diaz’s ministry told elDiario.es that they finally discovered a “malicious attack” against the site. Specifically, a “bot attack” to saturate the tool and drop it. The Labor Party indicates that they are “working to restore it as quickly as possible.”
Bot attacks are able to fill forms with false data to send massive fraudulent documents. This crowds your inbox with unwanted requests and, in extreme cases, leads to a web service outage.
Now, the Prevention 10 website displays the following message: “The Prevent10 app is experiencing a service outage that was initially identified as an overload due to a high flow of users and which we finally confirmed to be a malicious attack.”
“We are working to recover it as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Please try to contact later. And remember that upon completion of the procedure, it will not be necessary to register the document in any other official body. We will resolve your doubts by email: prevencion10@insst.mites.gob.es.”
