From defense to an alleged relationship
The relationship between Jessica and Wesley Rafael, known as “Bora”, may have started in 2020, when he was wanted for murder in a crime that took place in Planaltina. However, his criminal record dates back to previous years:

Wesley’s trajectory reveals recidivism and increased involvement in violent crimes. His last arrest was on November 10 this year, this time on charges of drug smuggling and attempted murder.
While approaching, police officers from the 20th BPM noticed suspicious movement; When they approached, they were met with gunfire. The criminals escaped by jumping over the wall of a house, but the drugs were seized.
He was under electronic monitoring, but broke his ankle bracelet and fled. He is currently wanted by the police.

- Inside the car, military police seized several pills of a substance resembling skunk.
- A package of ecstasy pills was also found, as well as a 9 mm pistol containing 31 rounds of ammunition.

The Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-DF) said in a statement that it will monitor the investigations and “investigate possible ethical and disciplinary consequences, which will be implemented confidentially and with the force of the law.”
Jessica Castro’s defense also sent a stand to Capitals. He said: “At the dawn of events, the lawyer was traveling to meet his client when his private car experienced mechanical problems. Due to the necessity of the service, the aforementioned client loaned her a car so that she could continue traveling. The defense categorically asserts that Dr. Jessica was not aware of the presence of illegal acts inside the borrowed car, and she had no reasonable means to suspect this situation.”
He added, “The arrest in fact came exclusively as a result of the seizure that took place inside the vehicle, without any element in the file so far linking it to a criminal organization or illegal activities.”
He also informed the defense that he would file a subpoena to obtain the client’s freedom. He said: “It is expected that she will be able to respond to the operation freely, as criminal legislation guarantees for first-time offenders and without a clear tangible danger.”
He concluded: “Dr. Jessica is not a drug dealer, is not part of a criminal organization and had no knowledge of the contents of the loaner car, and the presumption of innocence guaranteed by the Constitution must prevail.”
