On Friday (11/7), American rapper Roadwave received his first Grammy nomination. But the achievement coincided with a new controversial episode: the artist was arrested on the same day, in Georgia, on charges of committing four crimes.
At 27, Roadwave is competing for Best Song Composed for Visual Media with Sinners, a track from the soundtrack to the film Sinners (2025). Hours after the nomination was announced, he was arrested for possession of a weapon during an attempted violation, dangerous driving, and two incidents of possession of an illegal substance, according to People magazine.
