Space in mixes
“Coffee exporters say the situation has become worse for Brazil as global tariffs are reduced” (Mercado, 15/11). The United States is stalling and Brazil is falling in love with sweet talk. They do this to get more benefits later. Let’s forget the USA and sell it to others.
Claudio Gomez (Sao Paulo, SP)
These businessmen are insatiable, and nothing can satisfy them. You can bet they will try to do this, and the government will provide subsidies to these people. incredible.
Ladislaw Light (Araraquara, SP)
Guidelines
“The US visa will have restrictions for obese people and parents of people with disabilities” (The World, 15/11). Trump is creating a new concept of eugenics.
Francisco Jose Longo (Nitroy, Royal Jordanian)
Labor market
“Brazil experiences a high rate of informal activity despite minimal unemployment; productivity remains low” (Mercado, 11/15). I was raised on the idea that those who work to survive don’t choose their job, they choose it. I suspect that a combination of factors present in Brazilian reality over the past 50 years has produced a cultural change that has redefined people’s relationship with work.
Dercy Maria de Jesus Barbosa (Sao Paulo, SP)
Social Security has gone to hell with this policy that makes the worker the employer and the owner of his own nose. Paying an employee to open a dormitory and hiring them to perform the same jobs, thinking they earn better, may not seem like it, but it is one of the reasons why INSS’s revenues are declining.
Antonio José da Costa Lima (Sao Luis, MA)
Worker’s pocket
“VR companies have already made enough money, it’s time to benefit the worker, says Finance Minister” (Mercado, 11/14). The companies I worked for that offered VR were the same ones that offered VT, health insurance, and other benefits. I’m afraid of the idea of transferring the salary directly to the worker: they will end up cutting off the worker’s benefits.
Felipe Araujo Braga (Sao Paulo, SP)
Outside of initiatives
“The Tarcisio administration is the least committed to the public security programs of the Lula government” (Qutidiano, 11/16). The duo of Tarcísio and Derrite are terrified by the PF. PCC looks like a shadow of the two.
Priscilla Soares (Sao Paulo, SP)
The worst ruler. Sell everything and improve nothing.
Larissa Bertani (São Bernardo do Campo, SP)
The Lula government’s public security program aims to treat human traffickers as victim users.
Eduardo Dorigam (Sao Paulo, SP)
prejudice
“Motels are changing their image and doing renovations for COP30, but they are not receiving the desired guests” (Ambiente, 16/11). Greed and bad taste. The rooms in the pictures were evil.
Tania de Carvalho Ferreira Zamperi (Piracicaba, SP)
Too much unnecessary luxury and too few necessary results.
Antonio Benedetto Alves da Silva (Catandova, SP)
“Club da Esquina”
“How Milton Nascimento, Lou Borges and the Children of Minas Created a Revolution” (Ilustríssima, 15/11). A well-deserved tribute to the musicians and the “Clube da Esquina” album and to those who helped make Brazilian music our most wonderful export product. It is difficult for foreign music to compete with our own music, in terms of the quality of poetry and its harmonic richness.
Jane Medeiros (Rio de Janeiro, Royal Jordanian)
Revelation
“I will go to Hollywood, God willing,” says Tania Maria, 78, nominated for an Oscar for “Secret Agent” (Ilustríssima, 11/16). Tania Maria’s exceptionally natural performance and Wagner Moura’s appropriately restrained performance are the highlights that keep spectators until the end. The movie itself is completely boring.
Alcides Alcantara (Belem, Pennsylvania)
Nowadays, with the rise of frivolous celebrities, a common place in novels, to find an almost 80-year-old, self-taught lady, is a lottery to the delight of a global audience, which has grown very pale.
Maria de Socorro Lopez (Recife, PE)
Sexual desire
“Have sex and don’t fall in love” (Marilez Pereira Jorge, 11/14). Suitable for both women and men. The body is a real playground. We have to learn how to use it without feeling guilty. As for relationships, I prefer friendships. Sex is great, but relationships around it are often stressful.
Andre Gales Montero (Fortaleza, M)
