For those things that only chance can understand, a man of about 50 years of age, residing in a small town near El Bolson, has become a millionaire by such an extraordinary move as effective.
For two decades, the lucky guy always played the same numbers. Nothing happened at all. Until he got tired of losing, he decided to try something different: Reverse the order of your numbers. Instead of 34, he put 43, and so on with everyone. This chance maneuver made him a millionaire.
“He told me he played the same ticket for 20 years. “Since it didn’t give results, he changed it a while ago and invested the numbers in Lotto and Quini,” says Cecilia Alewi, owner of agency No. 64 in El Bolson, where the winning ticket was sold.
With this move, the man – a resident of a small town near El Bolson who only plays on weekends – won 2.372 million pesos In Queenie 6.
On October 25 at 12:21 p.m., the man paid P2,500 toward the cost of the ticket and ran the numbers. 43, 42, 36, 39, 11 and 29. The withdrawal was made the next day.
“Starting on Monday, November 27, we started looking for that person, who ended up arriving on Friday, November 7,” Cecilia recalls. If he is late for another three days, he will be left without a prize.
Last Friday, when there were only three days left before the deadline to claim the prize, the man entered the agency without suspecting that he was about to change his life forever.
“One of my employees was at the dealership, and I sent him the picture, and we talked about it, and we found out what day and time it was on,” Alloy says. “When the employee saw it, she recognized it. And the guy pulled out the piece of paper.”
The employee asked:Sir, did you know that you have an award? He replied: “No.” “I had no idea,” he adds. He couldn’t go before because his car broke down. I didn’t even check the numbers.
Until I heard Cecilia speaking to the local media and warning: “Please pay attention because losing this award is terrible.”
There he decided to go through the agency. Within minutes he was in shock. “It was so crazy. He asked if he could give my employee a hug.I was very impressed, and excited. “I couldn’t believe what was happening to him,” Cecilia says.
Only when he calmed down was he able to talk a little more. “He told me he wasn’t having a good time financially, and he was having some problems with his car. His wife helped him pay the credit card because it didn’t arrive. The award is very good for him,” admits the agency owner.
The lucky person filled out the papers, signed them, and received their prize. They deducted 31% taxes. “About $1,710 million was left clean,” Aloy explains.
The winner lives near El Bolson. “I spoke to him today and he told me: ‘I’m not going down.’ He’s in a daze, a little scared, a lot of things are going through his head. “But I’m happy,” says Cecilia.
Agency No. 64 brings luck. “My father opened it 35 years ago, and since then we have sold big prizes: Loto, Telekino, Lotería de Reyes. An amount of this size, I remember three million dollars in 1991. I think with the money a man makes now, he’s doing more than he did 30 years ago.
Between numbers and myths, Cecilia concludes: “It suits her well and she is at the age to enjoy it, more or less 50. The age to enjoy it with experience and health.”
