“These specific similarities were coincidental.” This is how medical student Edkle Teixeira commented, for the first time, on accusations that he anticipated the enemy’s questions in a direct meeting with students. The interview was broadcast on Fantástico, on TV Globo, on Sunday (23). Edekli denied prior access to the test and stated that the questions he submitted, which ENP later canceled, originated from the Caps Talento University Prize, a competition he had participated in the previous year. According to him, he found a “very similar pattern” to the exam questions.

The student also admitted that he paid money to the competition participants to memorize the test items and pass them to him. According to g1’s investigation, the messages show Edcley offering amounts starting at R $ 10, which can increase depending on the details of the replies. When confronted about the practice, he stated that he had only done so “this year” and denied that he had deliberately acted to circumvent the process.
– I don’t see bad faith. Because there was no requirement of commitment, there was no requirement of confidentiality, there was not even notice. “Not even in the registration process,” he said.
He also stated that he suspected the contest was a kind of pre-audition for Inep, and classified as an “unfortunate announcement” the fact that he announced on the networks that he had participated in an official pre-audition. “It was simply to draw attention to my course of study.”
“It’s a form of advertising that I find unfortunate today, because it was simply to draw attention to my course,” he said.
This controversy occurred after a live broadcast in which Edkli corrected questions practically identical to those that appeared on the second day of ENM 2025. This case led to the cancellation of three items in the test and stimulated an operation by the Federal Police, which executed a search and seizure warrant at the student’s home, in Sobral, Ceará.
This episode reignited discussions about the use of external assessments as pretest banks and vulnerability in the item development process. The Inep president told Fantástico that the incident did not pose a risk to the candidates and stressed that there was no technical compromise for the test.
The Ministry of Education ensured that Enem would not be cancelled. “I want to reassure everyone who took the test: Enem is ongoing. The results will be released in January 2026. Enem is Brazil’s heritage,” the minister said.
