Criticism of your appearance

When Marcus was asked about Asir Filo’s comment that he would be “ugly” if he played his role, he made it clear that he did not attach importance to the episode. According to him, the situation is “born unimportant” and is not worth his energy in confronting the more important issues.

“When I look outward I see an infinite number of these important issues that occupy me to the point that I feel guilty that I occupy my time with empty controversy that says nothing about anything to anyone,” he said.

The actor believes that the former mayor’s speech was just an “innocent joke”, and that comments of this kind are part of his profession. “I don’t care what people think or say about me. I don’t care to tell you the truth,” he said, adding that he thought it was “funny” that he became a subject because of his appearance.

The decision to live off the grid

Without social media accounts, Marcus explained that his choice was mainly driven by mental health issues. He said he lived a “very healthy life” by not dealing with behaviors he considered common in these environments.

“I’ve never lacked for work even though I don’t have social media, you know? I feel like I can only be an actor the way I want to be if I’m disconnected,” he said. For him, the main subject of an actor is the study and investigation of human nature, something that, in his opinion, networks will not add.

He stated that “social media networks tend to transform people into an image, in a way that falsifies reality,” highlighting that he prefers to live in the real world and not incorporate “social networking frequency” into his daily life.

Study of personality

Regarding the construction of Velo’s captive, Marcos said he handled the case with caution, because it involved real accusations and was still sensitive. He explained that in the research he conducted, he did not find any clarity regarding the operation involving the former mayor.

“I felt like everything was very vague when I was researching Acir. I didn’t come to any conclusions and there was no definite conclusion about the state of the operation at that moment when building the character,” he said. Therefore, he researched the politician’s personality and path.

“I always saw Acir as a resilient guy with a great sense of opportunity. I felt he would never put his head down and would always find a way back into the game,” he stated.

The actor believes that his character, within the series, acts almost as an observer to the chaos around him. Comparing the intensity of crimes committed by other prisoners depicted in the plot, he said the walk represented a certain lightness to balance the heavy stories.

to get to know

For Marcus, the most important thing was to find the point between respect for the royal personality and freedom of creativity. “We have to understand that there is a person here, but we also know that the character is fictional and cannot be considered an exact copy of that character from the real world.”

The translator also said that he did not have high expectations about the implications of the work. He revealed that he believes he will gain greater fame in another recent work, the series Reincarne, on Globoplay, where he played a character with a strong dramatic charge and high complexity. The surprise came with Tremembe in the street.

“I have never before been greeted, recognized and stopped to take a photo like I am doing now with a captive Philo,” he said.

Season 2 of Tremembé

Regarding possible participation in the second season, Marcus said that he only knows that the continuity of the series has been confirmed, but he stressed that he does not have any information about the scenario.

He explained: “At first, I do not believe in Asir, because he finished his first season by moving to Pinheirao.”

Among the upcoming projects, the actor said he will be in the feature film “As Vitrines,” as well as “Antártida,” a new production by Globoplay. He also scored the crime film “Pacto de Sangue – Hora Zero” and the horror film “Grampo”. After a busy year, he intends to rest a little before starting his play, which will begin production in January 2026.
