When Marcus was asked about Asir Filo’s comment that he would be “ugly” if he played his role, he made it clear that he did not attach importance to the episode. According to him, the situation is “born unimportant” and is not worth his energy in confronting the more important issues.

“I’ve never lacked for work even though I don’t have social media, you know? I feel like I can only be an actor the way I want to be if I’m disconnected,” he said. For him, the main subject of an actor is the study and investigation of human nature, something that, in his opinion, networks will not add.

Regarding the construction of Velo’s captive, Marcos said he handled the case with caution, because it involved real accusations and was still sensitive. He explained that in the research he conducted, he did not find any clarity regarding the operation involving the former mayor.
“I felt like everything was very vague when I was researching Acir. I didn’t come to any conclusions and there was no definite conclusion about the state of the operation at that moment when building the character,” he said. Therefore, he researched the politician’s personality and path.
“I always saw Acir as a resilient guy with a great sense of opportunity. I felt he would never put his head down and would always find a way back into the game,” he stated.
The actor believes that his character, within the series, acts almost as an observer to the chaos around him. Comparing the intensity of crimes committed by other prisoners depicted in the plot, he said the walk represented a certain lightness to balance the heavy stories.

For Marcus, the most important thing was to find the point between respect for the royal personality and freedom of creativity. “We have to understand that there is a person here, but we also know that the character is fictional and cannot be considered an exact copy of that character from the real world.”
