A 49-year-old farmer from Lisandro Olmos became the target of a violent robbery that included broken chains, a completely messed-up house, and the killing of all his pets, likely with poison. As this newspaper learned, he had gone out the night before, and upon returning, found the door locked, “everything thrown open,” and many valuables missing, as well as the truck he had left parked with little fuel.
The intruders acted without witnesses and with violence that suggests prior planning. After presenting the contaminated food, participants waited patiently until they saw the animals collapse. At that moment they began the criminal mission: selecting, moving and loading objects. They took the washer, dryer, four linens and the car, leaving the place filled with turmoil and emotional distress for the owner.
Without cameras or descriptions of the suspects, the investigation operates with minimal evidence and the incident is classified as aggravated robbery.
