Timothée Chalamet is coming to São Paulo for CCXP 2025 to promote his new film “Marty Supreme”. The film, directed by Josh Safdie, who will also attend the pop culture event, uses the director’s signature frenzy to depict a table tennis prodigy, loosely inspired by player Marty Raisman, who embarks on a journey to prove his worth.
The duo will participate in a panel discussion on Friday, December 5, at the Thunder Theater, the main platform of the cultural exhibition. The panel marks the first appearance of production company A24 and distributor Diamond Films at the event.
Also among the new features announced by CCXP is the feature film panel “Só os Loucos Sabem,” a biographical film about musician Chorão, lead singer of the Charlie Brown Jr. band. It has not yet been announced which actors will be attending, but the film’s screening is the first that has been confirmed to Blast! Stage, a new space will be opened in this edition.
CCXP also announced that the program will include a performance by the Fresno band scheduled for Sunday, December 7th.
“Marty Supreme” opens in national cinemas in January, and has been listed as a promise for the 2026 Academy Awards. CCXP runs from the 3rd, with Spoiler Night — a night reserved for press, guests and select credential holders — through Dec. 7. Tickets for the event are on sale now on the official website.
