The Argentine Civic Association of People with Rheumatic Diseases (ACAPER) invites the community to participate in the media conversation “Everything You Don’t Know About Certification of Single Disability (CUD),” which will take place on November 27 at 5:30 p.m., at the La Plata Bar Association (13th Street between 48th and 49th, 1st floor – Semester 1). The activity aims to provide accurate, reliable and up-to-date information on the process of obtaining a Single Disability Certificate, in a context where lack of clear data and bureaucratic difficulties often constitute obstacles to the full exercise of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Regarding the importance of the day, Mariana Rutigliano, Secretary General of ACAPER, expressed: “At ACAPER, we consider it essential to promote this type of meeting, not only to our partners but also to society in general. Providing good information is a key tool to accompany and empower people in their health processes.

The panel of speakers will consist of professionals from disability assessment boards: Dr. Sandra Butendari (La Plata and Ensenada), Lic. Cristina Galante (Social Worker from La Plata), LLC. Gabriela Lopez Cafasso (psychologist from La Plata), LLC. Virginia Ferrioli (psychologist from Ensenada).
This event is organized by ACAPER, a civic association dedicated to promoting access to information, making rheumatic diseases visible and improving people’s quality of life, within the framework that “A diagnosis is not a sentence” and “Making the invisible visible.”
ACAPER has only been in existence for a year and a half and includes more than 200 partners in 22 of the 24 provinces in the country and abroad. She is also actively involved in GAfPA (Global Alliance for Patient Access) and ASOPAN (Pan American Network of Rheumatology Patient Associations).
