“I felt like I was in a crowd of people throwing punches to make room,” says dealer Marilia Razouk when summarizing the early years of her gallery. “It was necessary to make people understand that what we were showing was art. We showed very different works at the time and a lot of people’s eyes seemed to say: ‘This must be a bit big’.”
