Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), said on Monday (24/11), after his meeting with leaders of the Liberal Party (PL), in Brasilia, that the video showing former President Jair Bolsonaro’s damaged ankle bracelet is an “attempt to do evil” by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF).

As for the senator, Minister Alexandre de Moraes ignored the medical reports and issued a decree for Bolsonaro’s preventive detention even though the former president was not in full mental health.
“From my point of view, when there is a video of him with his damaged ankle bracelet, that video leaks out first without sound. It is humiliating, for the situation he is in. The desire to do evil was so great that it leaks out without sound. I already recognized it on TV, it is my father’s leg. When you hear his voice in this video, I think there is a consensus, from those who heard it, that his voice has completely changed. His speech is slurred, and when he underwent the medical examination, the report comes to prove who “They are the doctors who took the medication, and he is not in a mental state.”
The senator made the remarks after the PL summit meeting in Brasilia.
He added: “It is very clear to everyone that the ankle bracelet was the least of the matter. He actually wanted to do it on the 22nd (…) He referred to the ankle bracelet in two or three lines. (…) Alexandre de Moraes has become a denier, and now he can deny science. Because he simply ignored the evidence in favor of Bolsonaro, he ignores it, pretends not to see it and mocks it.”
