
The Brazilian national team tied 1 x 1 with Zambia, in a valid duel for the top spot in Group H, in the group stage of the U-17 World Cup. Brazil was undefeated, ranked first and is awaiting further results to find out who it will face in the knockout stages.
The game
In the Brazilian team’s first attack, Leo sent a cross to Ze Lucas, who shot it from inside the small area, but he shot a bad ball and wasted the opportunity to open the scoring.
Zambia opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the first half with an Olympic goal. Kalimena took the corner kick with a bend and the Brazilian defense blocked her path. Arthur Ryan crossed the ball and the ball ended up in Brazil’s net.
In the second half, Felipe Moraes shot a direct shot close to the post and almost equalized the score after 15 minutes.
