FAITA also demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation by developing activities and conferences on artificial intelligence and technological advancement. During the month of November, the university did the first Hackiaton UCP In cooperation with the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture, the College of Legal and Political Sciences, and the College of Economic and Environmental Sciences. During an intense day, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and creative design tools were combined. More than 50 students from various specializations and locations participated in the meeting, who were selected in advance, with a developed footprint and multidisciplinary work.

Through HakIAton, the teams had to apply different AI models – such as image generation, audiovisual production and intelligent agents – to develop communication campaigns aimed at promoting good digital practices and ethical awareness around the use of technologies. Within the framework of this meeting, and in preparation for the conference, the College also co-organized the UCP 2025 Summit on Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Hygiene, a space for discussion and exchange that brought together national and international experts and allowed them to develop thinking about digital transformations.
Authoritarians don’t like this
The practice of professional and critical journalism is an essential pillar of democracy. This is why it bothers those who believe they are the bearers of the truth.
Through its activities, the academic unit seeks to prepare future graduates with technical and ethical training to face new technological scenarios. Likewise, FAITA offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses with cutting-edge study plans such as Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic and Multimedia Design, Information Systems Engineering, and Architecture, Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel and Textile Design, Bachelor’s Degree in Furniture and Interior Design, and a Higher University Technician Degree in Video Game Design and Programming.
The College also works to strengthen links with the productive sector and the regional technology ecosystem through agreements, professional practices and joint projects with companies and public institutions. These cases allow students to face real challenges and gain concrete experience in developing technological solutions applied to industry, design and social innovation.
Likewise, FAITA encourages student participation in research activities, conferences, and interdisciplinary projects that promote critical thinking. These spaces for experimentation and continuous training enhance the professional profile of their graduates, who enter the labor market with updated tools and a strategic view of the digital future.
In this way, the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Architecture at UCP trains professionals with a vision of champions of technological change, critical citizens in the face of digital challenges and agents of regional transformation. Through its combination of academic training, exhibitions, hackathons and discussions on artificial intelligence, it is positioned as a strategic player in building the technological future of the Near East region.
