During the celebration, the Brazilian asked to fight for the belt. In the main fight of the night, Islam Makhachev dominated and defeated Jack Della Maddalena, earning his second belt.

Leon Edwards at UFC 322, now, in New York.In the main fight of the card, Makhachev proved that he is one of the greats in MMA history. After becoming champion in the lightweight category (up to 70.3 kg), the Russian moved up to welterweight (up to 77.1 kg) and defeated Jacques Della Maddalena. Islam dominated the fight and was victorious after a unanimous decision.
With this feat, Islam Makhachev equaled Anderson Silva’s record of consecutive UFC wins, with a total of 16 victories.
Rodolfo Vieira is out and RoboCop is victorious
Two more Brazilians entered the octagon in New York. Rodolfo Vieira was sent off by Bo Nickal. The North American landed a kick to the Brazilian’s head and won.
Grigory “RoboCop” defeated Roman Kopylov after the judges’ decision. Mateus Camilo was another Brazilian who ended the night with victory. Also by decision of the judges, Camilo defeated Vyacheslav Borchev.
